Structure and cohomologies of locally conformally symplectic manifolds and solvmanifolds

Expositor: Daniele Angella (Università di Firenze, Italia)

Resumen: As symplectic geometry, its "locally conformally" counterpart has a role in Hamiltonian dynamics. While the existence of symplectic structures has strong topological obstructions, recent results show that a large class of compact manifolds admits locally conformally symplectic structures.
In this talk, we focus on structure results for locally conformally symplectic Lie algebras, and we classify and construct locally conformally symplectic structures on 4-dimensional Lie groups and their quotients.
We also study Morse-Novikov cohomology of certain solvmanifolds, and we introduce its locally conformally symplectic counterpart.

The talks is based on joint works with Giovanni Bazzoni, Maurizio
Parton, Alexandra Otiman, Nicoletta Tardini, Luis Ugarte.
